Will my employer know if I get help?

Your privacy comes first. Carrum Health protects your privacy. Your conversations with a Care Navigator and the details of your treatment are kept confidential and are not shared with your employer as part of your individual care.

You can contact us, ask questions, and explore treatment options privately.

If you need time away from work for treatment, your employer may know that you’re taking leave for a medical reason, but your medical information—including your diagnosis and treatment—is protected by privacy laws. You may also be eligible for job-protected leave under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Download our guide to learn more about taking leave for treatment.

What happens when I contact Carrum Health?

Your Care Navigator will be there to guide you from your first conversation through your next steps in care and help you get care—at little or no cost.*

What kinds of treatment are available?

Care is available for alcohol and other substance use. Because treatment isn’t one-size-fits-all, we can help connect you with the right level of support based on your needs. For eligible members, treatment is often fully covered.

Care may include:

• Partial hospitalization programs
• Intensive outpatient treatment
• Outpatient treatment
• Recovery coaching
• Virtual care
• Medication-assisted treatment, as part of your care
• Sober living as part of your care
